These are the top five items that because they are out of sight are often times out of mind when as va beach home cleaners are going through our move out cleaning checklist. Lets start with talking about the kitchen..
1. on top of and underneath the FRIDGE! This is often times one of the dirtiest places in a move out cleaning that we come into contact with. Simply put, the refrigerator is heavy and often never moved out of the way to allow cleaning. This is also bad for the filters on the back which are almost always caked with a thick layer of dust. 2. under the STOVE... Yes, whether you have a gas range or an electric oven the drawer on the very bottom can be removed, go figure right! Although oven deep cleaning is an additional service, we clean the underneath with every cleaning as found on our checklist. It is here where we find again one of the heaviest soiled areas in the entire home. No one thinks to ever remove this drawer and take a peak, but its amazing if you do not have bugs and ants with a ton of left over food and crumbs accumulating under here. 3. door ledges. Do me a favor and walk over to the nearest door in your home and run your finger along the top ledge of the frame. I am willing to bet you have never done that before but are finding it to be extremely filthy! Yeah, it's again an area we seldom think to clean when we are in cleaning mode but a few of the most unfinished areas in the home that collect allergies. 4. toilets. If the baseboards directly behind your toilet are not spotless, well why not? Is it because no one likes to bend down, grab the bowl of the toilet for leverage so that you can get your face down in there to really clean that small area, maybe! If you have kids, forget having a spotless bathroom at all right. But if urine is an issue on the bathroom floor around the toilet a trick that works to lift the smell is actually, are you ready for this.. shaving cream foam! Set it on the floor and leave it on for a few minutes and it will soak up urine smells!! 5. ceiling fans Unless you have take out the step ladder you're not reaching most ceiling fans or light fixtures well enough to thoroughly clean them. Anything that involves cleaning above the head is at times the dustiest items in a deep cleaning that we will encounter. Even when everything else is generally clean, no one wants to kill their shoulders apparently with all those pesky ceiling fans! If we could keep going I would categorize everything on our move out cleaning checklist as base=boards would be next on the dirtiest list. If it involves bending over and scrubbing things like baseboards you can count on a deep cleaning service like So Clean Virginia Beach to get the areas often times are out of sight and out of mind!
