Cleaning is vital, may it be in your home, office, or apartment. Here's the apartment move out cleaning checklist that will serve as your guide to clean your flat.
Work from the top always (ceiling fan, windows, walls)then to the bottom (floors, baseboards, carpet) when you clean your apartment. This tactic allows dust and dirt to fall to the ground as you clean; thus, you don't have to sweep or vacuum a couple of times throughout. Here are a few things to do: Clear cobwebs from ceiling You might put this step in oblivion or don't take notice of it throughout your entire lease, but be mindful of cleaning the ceiling before you move out. Use a vacuum or broom to help pull down cobwebs. Have a popcorn-like ceiling? Roll a slightly wet high-nap paint roller over the ceiling to pick up dust and cobwebs. This trick won't knock down pieces of the popcorn finish as a broom might. Dust blinds Get an old pair of socks and put one on like a glove. This trick or hack works in getting dust blinds! Try to damp the socks, afterward run your hand across each rung to rid the blinds of dust. This tactic works significantly to clean heaters, too! Check lights Check the lights if they are still ready for you. If not, you may tell your landlord to purchase a new one. If you know how to put the bulb, do it with care and accuracy. Check any loose wire before you leave. Check smoke detectors The battery probably needs replacement if your smoke detector is beeping. However, if it's not, you must ensure all smoke alarms have batteries working. Usually, if there's a test button, you can press to indicate or check battery life; a weak or nonexistent signal is a sign that it's time for new batteries. Wash windows To wash your windows, use a window or a glass cleaner. To avoid streaks, spray the solution onto the window and wipe quickly with a lint-free cloth. Ensure to dust off the handles, locks, and between the sliding tracks if your windows have them. Remove any nails and patch walls The gallery wall looks great while it lasts; however, it's time to patch or fix up your walls. Use paints that have the same color as your wall. To properly apply the product, be sure to use a putty knife. Clean walls and baseboards To get rid of or eliminate any dust lingering on your baseboards or trim, use the brush attachment on your vacuum. Get a microfiber cloth and wash the walls using the appropriate cleaner for the paint finish, If you have stains on your walls. Vacuum and mop the floors You must vacuum and thoroughly mop the floors. This tactic in cleaning is done at the last stage, as dust and chemicals most likely, fell on the floor while cleaning elsewhere. You must inform family members not to walk on the floor until completely dry and keep pets in another room if there are. Moving out in an apartment like your home requires cleaning too. Hence, bear in mind that an apartment that stayed for so long needs proper cleaning and care.
